Dupa multa vreme de sfortari psihice si fizice, azi am reusit in sfarsit sa scriu introducerea la lucrarea mea de licenta was a damn hard step to take! adica introducerea trebuie sa reflecte intr-un mod comprimat continutul intregii lucrari, si in acelasi timp sa trezeasca curiozitatea celui care o va citi (daca o va citi careva eu mereu ma gandeam ca le scriem ca sa le arunce altii pe foc). Si iata ca am reusit... vreo luna de zile m-am chinuit sa imi aleg primele cuvinte ale acestei parti importante din lucrare. Today was the day Asa e cand esti mai destept si stii prea multe: te chinui sa gasesti un algoritm de compresie eficient care sa iti comprime toate ideile si gandurile in cateva cuvinte cu efect fulgerator asupra cititorului mda, tare ma tem ca la cat ma chinui, nota nu va fi nici pe departe pe masura asteptarilor mele. but bleah, invatamantul la noi e dus cu vaca, la fel ca si softurile de gestiune a bazelor de date ale universitatii care genereaza taxe in plus, note in minus, si rromi de etnie rroma cand am auzit-o pe asta cu rromii de etnie rroma, am ras de nu m-am mai oprit! inca mai rad correct me if i'm right.. i don't really know what that means!

P.S. sper ca nu voi strecura nici un "lol" in lucrare

oh yeah!!! s-a terminat sesiunea un 9 si cinci de 10 daca as m-as fi dus la toate cursurile, acel 9 ar fi fost 10, dar nah... e ultimul an, licenta, chestii, trestii... phuai, dar ma oftic putin.. as fii avut numai 10.... damn! anyways.. am numai 9 si 10, si sunt la cu taxa si n-am nici o sansa la bursa.. asa e cand te transferi de la fara taxa in fine. gata! inca un semestru in care voi lucra la licenta, voi chiuli destul de mult, si oi vedea ce fac cu urmatoarea sesiune. Pana atunci, me happy!

some while ago, because i was adding too many people in my watch list, i started c# and made a pretty simple piece of software that downloads the deviations from my devwatch page how did i do that ? you have the page source of the devwatch page, play with regular expressions to search all the links in that page, visit each link and find out the location of the image that simple!

but after some testing, i found out that it had a major bug: when it came to downloading images from clubs, those images were either thumbnails or resized images of the originals! so i put that little project of mine in standby.... until yesterday i remembered that every club deviation had a link to the original so all i had to do was to crawl the club's page in order to find the link to the original deviation! sounds simple... but it had a catch: every club was reffering to the original in many ways (e.g. please follow link to original, [link], etc). so i made a piece of code to manage all those differences for the clubs i'm watching, and now it downloads the original images more than that: i made it extensible, so whenever i watch a new club, i just have to declare the club's name and the regular expression used to find the original link in that club's deviation DAMN I'M GOOD!

conclusion: it takes me approx. 10 minutes to download 600 deviations (that i get in 2 or 3 days) by hand it took me an hour or so oh yeah, another thing: it downloads text, too... and when it finds a deviation that was deleted (the file not found dA error), it gets ignored

P.S. i'm thinking to make it deviantware, that means everyone who wants it will donate me dA subscriptions but i'm not sure about it, yet...

i can't learn when it's too silent around me, nor when it's a haotic sound around me (e.g. people fighting, tv on, and stuff like that)... so how do i manage to learn for all my exams and also get A's (10) and B's (9) ?? simple: notebook in front of me, headphones on my ear, volume up to 80% (yeap, freakin' loud), pick a song that i like and learn while listening to that song and only that! i'm a weirdo, i admit.. but hey, you can't blame me, the grades talk for themselves i guess my auditive memory is much better than my visual

now i'm learning about Distributed Software Applications.. oh yeah, i feel so distributed and replicated! the song ? Pink Floyds' "Another brick in the wall" guitar solo! no, not the whole song... just the guitar solo so i told you my ultimate learning method, and this is how i became a bad-ass IT freak!
